Women’s Shapewear

I was out shopping yesterday and I really could not believe what I was seeing. From a distance I saw a wonderfully dressed woman in her 60s to 70s. I was really impressed when I saw her.  She was an very pretty African American woman with striking white hair and was wearing a beautiful royal blue sweater outfit that came down to her ankles and was still sporting high heels at that age.  She was a confident woman and had a classy sort of confidence as she walked through the store.   As I came closer to her, my heart began to drop. As I stood behind her in line I could not believe my eyes.

I could see her underwear through her skirt. She was wearing a pair of full cut white underwear underneath with no slip and I could see everything. There was really nothing I could say. I just felt so embarrassed and I wasn’t even the one wearing the outfit.   Ladies…. get a full length mirror and look at yourself in full light front and back before leaving your home.  Walmart sells mirrors for cheap. Gotta make sure you don’t fall a victim to this one.  I found that the following places sell low cost slips, undergarments, and shapewear:

• K-Mart

Hopefully, you will have one of these stores in your own neck of the woods.  If not, there’s always your standard stores like Macy’s, JCPenny, Sears, Dillards, and Kohls where you can shop as well.

As we go into the fall season, I can’t help but get excited about the seasons that are coming up.  This is my favorite time of the year.  For you ladies who have kids, some of you may be sending them off to school for the first time and having a little bit of time for yourself.   My daughter is in college, she is still living locally but it’s a different season for me too.   Speaking of seasons, remember it’s time to rotate out your closet.  It’s time to pack up those summer outfits and sundresses and take out your sweaters and heavier clothing in preparation for the blustery winds, rain, and change in temperature that comes this time of the year.

As you are changing out your clothes, remember to assess your underwear drawer and your bras.  Have your undergarments seen their better days?  If they have, it’s time to purchase some fresh undies, bras and shapewear.   In the summer months wearing heavy shapewear was just not feasible, but as the seasons get colder and those holiday events come rolling around, you want to look stunning in everything you wear.  Remember to keep things tight and right by wearing the proper undergarments and keep heads turning as you step out in the latest fashion styles and trends.
